I never knew Mary before the Alzheimers had set in. To her each meeting with me was brand new. Every time we met she would tell me how lovely I was. Maybe we should all look at our meetings with others as brand new – wipe the slate clean, cancel the bill. Or as Paul put it:

Be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.
