The name Partakers.Net comes from the Bible verse in Hebrews 3:1, which says, "Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus . . ."

    • Feb 2ndI ♥ Faces – The Eyes Have It

It’s a new week at I ♥ Faces, and this time I actually have a few minutes to submit a few pictures.

Kids – this one was taken while she was swinging on the porch swing looking through the back of the swing.

I call this one “A Century of Smiles.”  This lady was 101 years old at the time.

And for the pets, who could fail to fall in love with Spunkmeyer at his perkiest, chipperest self.

If you gesture when you speak, love music, and rely on gut instinct in making important decisions, you’re likely right brained.  If you read the directions first, adhere to a schedle, and can’t leave home without a watch, you’re likely left brained. Cameron Bishopp

Cameron Bishopp just described my husband and me as if he has known us all our lives.  Too funny.

I love the building designs here. Everything seems to be designed to maximize whatever breeze is blowing in off the ocean. This little breezeway really is quite breezy. I’m not the only one who found this a nice spot to have a little quiet time.

    • Jan 7thFather We Adore Thee

One of many songs I just love to hear and sing along with and wish were part of the repertoire at my church.

      Gracious God, we worship Thee,
      for salvation full and free.
      Jesus Christ, our only plea,
      Father, we adore Thee.

For Thy love so vast and wide,
shown to us by Him who died.
      Holy justice satisfied,
      Father, we adore Thee.

Now we bow before Thy face,
let Thy presence fill this place.
Oh the wonders of Your grace,
      Father, we adore Thee.

Now again our song we raise,
      sound of deep adoring praise.
Soon we’ll sing through endless days,
      Father, we adore Thee.

      Jesus Christ, our only plea,
      Father, we adore Thee.

I have no hope, except that I believe that Christ died for my sins,
      according to the Scriptures.
I expect to swing out into eternity on that.

The world will never be as dark as it was before Jesus came and walked this earth.

      Larry Skrant, Changed Lives Ministries

Okay, call me sick or whatever else you want to, but I LIKE to listen to good preaching. I’ve been priviledged to sit under the sound of some of the best for the last nearly eight years. Tonight’s sermon was an excellent reminder, though, that Jesus has not left this world without His light. That light resides in each of us who love Him and obey His commands, and it’s meant to shine out into a dark world.

Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

      Jesus
